The GAA scene was once a sector where fans walked up to events and paid on the day however Covid-19 changed this.
Looking for a cashless entry, pay in advance solution – Tipperary GAA joined forces with Future Ticketing to ticket their county hurling and football championships.
Throughout the 2020 season, entry to all club matches were ticket-only with maximum attendances set in accordance with Government guidelines of 200. This was a massive shift in how GAA counties managed their ticketing for club games however both clubs and customers were quick to adapt to technology to provide a safe and secure experience for both fan and player.
Using priority links, season ticket holders were able to log onto the Tipperary GAA website on a weekly basis and claim tickets for the particular games they wanted to attend free of charge using their season ticket barcode.
Each club had also access to handheld mobile scanners which recorded live the number of fans that were scanned into each venue. Which allowed Tipperary GAA to see live scanning figures of all venues in real time without being present.
