Galway United has renewed its partnership with ticketing software and services provider Future Ticketing following a summer in which the club’s digital ticketing infrastructure was put to the test with the temporary switch of home fixtures to Pearse Stadium.
With necessary pitch development works taking place at Eamonn Deacy Park, Galway United moved a number of home games to Salthill as part of the club’s inaugural Salthill Summer Series — a significant logistical operation that required the club to move its matchday operation to a new stadium while maintaining a seamless experience for supporters.
Crucially, the club’s existing digital ticketing infrastructure – powered by Future Ticketing’s state of the art software – meant season-ticket holders could continue to use their tickets at the new venue, with tickets scanned digitally on matchday and supporters able to share tickets through the Galway United app.
Galway United is poised to embrace the full suite of functionality provided by the cutting-edge Future Ticketing platform.
While purchasing paperless match day tickets remains a core concern of many supporters and has been at the heart of the Future Ticketing offering, the company’s technology also eases season ticket booking and renewal and opens up other revenue-raising routes.
