Boswell Book Festival

The Boswell Book Festival is a weekend literature festival which takes place in Dumfries House, Ayrshire in May each year. When the Book festival were onboarding the Future Ticketing platform they expressed concerns about how seamlessly they would migrate their audience to a ticketing system that was predominantly online. We addressed these issues confidently.

Firstly, we ensured continuity by embedding the ticketing system into their website. We then assured customers who were uncomfortable making online purchases by facilitating them through our call centre. We also provided fulfillment of tickets that were selected as post options for customers that didn’t have email.

in the first year with Future Ticketing there was an uptake of 70% of ticket sales online. Future Ticketing’s four step ticket process kept the customer journey smooth and easy.

Alongside this, The Boswell Book Festival ran an exclusive offer for customers who opted in to their mailing list in advance of the event to have priority access through the call centre.

The Festival moved completely online in 2021, due to the Pandemic, and they were back with a bang in May 2022 with a full schedule of events, a Children’s Festival and a schools’ programme.

The 2023 Boswell Book Festival takes place from 12-14 May.
